Outta Nowhere.....It's A Post
So I finally got the American Taxi CD, Runaway Songs. From start to finish, it is excellent, however my personal favorite track is "Paper Covers Rock." Aside from the witty title, it has a great beat and lyrics that anyone who really loves music and going to shows will be able to relate to. This is an excellent EP and I cannot wait for a full length album. If forced to describe how they, I would compare it to a more raw, punk rock version of Lucky Boys Confusion. By that I mean it is Adam's voice combined with LBC's signature slow bridge building up to an incredibly catchy hook (ok, ok, they didn't invent it, but they did it pretty darn good). If you have the chance, listen to them at www.myspace.com/americantaxi and then go pick up their CD at Interpunk (at $6 it's a steal!). Also, expect me to post a video from one of their concerts soon (not something I took, but found it on youtube).
